Rally For OUR Riverfront has already won two victories toward the further protection of the “uninterrupted natural view of the riverfront”: moving the Streetcar to a place below the crest of Riverside Drive and deferring two huge buildings on the riverfront for further consultation and coordination by City Administration.
The “uninterrupted natural view” principle that has guided the formation and protection of Windsor’s gem: OUR public riverfront parks.
As it stands, City Council has only “deferred” decisions to build a canopy rising OVER FOUR STORIES above Riverfront Festival Plaza and flip the Streetcar Gallery to the Legacy Beacon location (west of the Caron Avenue Pumping Station).
We need to lobby City Council and City Administration in order to have a voice included in these next discussions and recommendations to City Council. Please join our effort to protect OUR riverfront parks and the “uninterrupted natural view” that all enjoy.
